Gulf State Park / Gulf Fishing Pier

Now that the Hangout Music Festival is over are you looking for something less expensive to fill your time?

The Gulf State Park is the perfect place to spend a few hours or a few days. The Gulf State Park is located in Gulf Shores. The state park is 6,150 acres, which includes two miles of white-sand beaches.

The park offers modern camping, cottages, trails and fishing. You can also spend your day playing tennis, planning a group meeting on one of the pavilions, playing golf, swimming or water skiing.

The Gulf Fishing Pier is now open.

Fishing, the concession area and store are now open 24 / 7.

Finished in 2009 and opened in July of 2009, the pier is the largest pier on the Gulf at 1,540 feet.

The old pier was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. For more information about the Gulf State Pier, Click Here!

Whether you visit the state park, or the pier, both offer an abundance of activities for little or no price.
